How to Build a Course
The Golf Scoring Buddy comes preloaded with two courses. If you are going to be playing a course other than Pebble Beach or Bethpage Black, you need to build those courses into your database. This process is easier than it looks. There are a few bits of information you need about the course you want to build before you get started. All of this information should be found on the physical scorecard. You will need to enter:
1) Unique name for new course
2) At least one tee color or tee name (Gold Tee, Championship Tee, Member Tee)
3) Total course yardage from desired tee (6,739 yards)
4) Slope from desired tee (134 slope)
5) Par for each hole
6) Handicap ranking for each hole
From the Home screen, you should select the "Courses" button. This navigates you to the "Courses List". The top right of this screen has a "plus" sign that will navigate you to the "Add Course Information" screen. From here, we are ready to start adding our new courses information. In the following example I am building a course for the Arnold Palmer Course at Mission Hills. I have entered all 6 bits of information in their appropriate spots.

Hints
1) You do not need to fill out all five of the tee names, yardages, and slopes. Notice I have only entered a "White" and "Blue" tee name, yardage, and slope. I have purposely left a space in between the "White" and "Blue" in case I want to add another tee option later.
2) The slope is the most critical information on the Screen Sample 1.
3) When entering the hole information, type two numbers in each handicap box. After two numbers are entered, the cursor will automatically jump to the next hole's par column. For example, on the third hole I press "5" for par and it automatically moves the cursor to the "Hcp." column. From here, I press "09" for the handicap and it automatically moves the cursor to the "Par" column on the fourth hole.
